Teardown was formed in the beginning of year 2001. Line-up of the band is still the same, excluding our former vocalist Make. First demo, entitled "Nothing should be wrong.." (2002) was made as a "home-recording". That demo was never published.
Then there was a sort of break in the bands activity. During that the singer Make left the band. Still new material was made and the band decided to record a new demo. This took place in autumn of 2003. Drums were recorded at Akustiikka-house Ylivieska and the rest of the instruments were recorded as a home-recording. The singer in the new demo "Drowned in your tears" is Katja, who joined the band in the same Autumn.
In summer of 2005 Teardown started to record new material. This happened completely as a home-recording. Recording sessions took place periodically and it took a long time to complete all instruments and vocals on tape. Katja's friend Mage participated the recording sessions by singing all backing vocals and playing violin. In autumn of 2006 "Cold rooms" was finally released.
Now Teardown is promoting the new record for interesting medias and labels.
The band has also started making new material for a third Teardown release.

Ydin was formed in Ylivieska in autumn 2003. Line-up (I.B. – vocals, Ahmaoja – guitar, Kangas – guitar, Piippo – bass and Löytynoja – drums) was found pretty fast and style of the music was clear. Raw Death Metal sung in Finnish.
After active rehearsing and song composing about in christmas 2003 Ydin has got five songs ready for recording. They were recorded in Coffin –studios which were operated by Löytynoja. Session toke a quite long time but in autumn 2004 Ydin´s first recording "Verityöt" was released. This piece of art, which glooms with visions of death and coldness, was sent in different medias for reviews. The feedback was quite good.
In February 2005 Ydin entered again the Coffin –studios to record follower for Verityöt (Bloodworks). This time recordings went quite fast, it took four days actually. Name of this recording is "Silvottuna ja Häpäistynä" (Mutilated and Dishonoured). Soon after recording session Löytynoja decided to leave the band. Ydin did not want to release a record before it has found a new drummer. Searching continued long but finally they found Kuusisalo. The new blood fitted the band well and feedback for the record was good again.
During 2007 Ydin recorded five more songs. Session was long and hard because there were a lot of different misfortunes. Mixing and mastering was done again in Coffin –studios by Löytynoja. The name of the record is "Saasta" (Scum). Now in March 2008, when Saasta is released, we can say that if it doesn´t kill you, it just makes you stronger... Ydin is looking for a record deal and is ready for gigs and of course continues its work with violent music. |

Malignus was born at the end of 1997 in Haapajärvi, Finland. Original line-up was Ahmaoja (vocals and guitar), Arto Räisälä (guitar), Tomi (bass) and Latex (drums).
First changes happened when Arto Räisälä left the band. Tomi moved from bass to guitar and Rage joined Malignus to fill the empty place of bassist. A.Komu was also rarely seen playing keyboards at first years of bands history.
The first demo (Tuhon Kaste - free translation "Baptism of Destruction") material was from '97-'98 and were recorded at the dark and dusty corners of Stolle at the beginning of 1999. Another visiting session artist, S.Savolainen, was part of Malignus at the end of 1999. He played percussions and took care of background vocals.
Spring 2000, Voci dal Profondo joined the band as second vocalist and at fall Malignus recorded the second demo "Enkeli Varjojen" (free translation "Angel of Shadows") in Studio BRR (Raahe/Finland). Then there was a "break" which lasted for about an year and after that the line-up was changed again: Latex left the band and was replaced by Rami Repola.
At the summer 2003 new guitarist, Kaattari, joined the band. Idea behind this was that Ahmis could focus on vocals. Spring 2004 yet another demo was released, "Psykoosi (Psychosis)", which was recorded with various equipment and crew. Among quests were Requiem drummer J. Huttunen and Teardown keyboardist Pipsa. N.
Slowly Malignus slipped in drowse as everyone had their own things which kept them busy, but 2007 spring they returned to share their punishment amongst men. J. Huttunen stabilized his place as drummer. The band is currently rehearsing their old stuff and plans to start composing their fourth release. |
